Promise & Value

I am a proven, evidence-based innovation leader. I describe my practice as Promise and Value Design and Operations: helping people discover value worth creating, make promises worth keeping, design the systems capable of carrying them, and know whether the promised value was actually validated.

This is a practice, not a taxonomy.
The terrain below is the shape Promise and Value has taken in my work — not a closed definition of the field.

The work From uncertainty to accountable value.

From curiosity to accountable value.

I help people find the question worth asking, turn uncertainty into hypotheses, design ways to learn, interpret evidence, make defensible decisions, define the promise, and create the products, services, systems, organizations, experiences, and operating conditions capable of turning that promise into validated value.

Meta-expertise The connective tissue across domains.

Breadth held together by a way of thinking.

The domains change. The higher-order work is remarkably consistent: frame the problem, establish what can be known, model the system, test the claim, make the decision legible, and create a structure for action.

Advisory terrain The current shape of the practice.

Bring me a difficult problem.

These are places where I have developed expertise, exercised judgment, built things, led people, and learned how promises become value — or fail to. The list is intentionally broad: it shows the shape of the practice, not the boundary of it.

Work with me Expert advisory is applied judgment.

You do not need to know which category your problem belongs to.

Bring the question, decision, opportunity, system, proposal, deck, strategy, team challenge, or half-formed idea. We can find the real problem, establish what evidence matters, clarify the promise, and decide what would create value next.

Interrogate Pressure-test an idea, strategy, architecture, claim, or decision.
Architect Turn ambiguity into a coherent product, system, operating model, or plan.
Review Independent senior judgment on readiness, evidence, risk, coherence, and gaps.
Develop Strengthen a person, team, practice, narrative, capability, or organization.

Leadership in service

Systems are how promises become experience — or become broken promises.

My work is concerned not only with whether something can be built, but with what is worth promising, what value it could create, what evidence supports that belief, what system can carry the promise, how people actually experience it, whether value was validated, and how we remain accountable for the distance between promise and experience.

I approach leadership as a practice of service, and I continue to explore, test, refine, and extend this practice.
